Tonight, the annual Science and Technology Fair drew over a 100 students, staff, parents and community to see all the great projects and offerings Danforth has to offer. Visitors were treated to array of displays and demonstrations, ranging from Rube Goldberg machines, to projects on 3D-Scanners, new solar energy technology and even vortex air cannons as the strongest projects were selected to represent Danforth at the Toronto-wide Science fair after March Break.
The Tech department was on-hand with demos of electricity, auto body and cooking. Even though they had the Skills Competition tomorrow, staff and competitors were on-hand making free noodles, and running demos.
Thanks to Ms Tevlin for putting together another amazing display of the strong science programs that Danforth has to offer and for all the support from staff, students and their families.

Today at lunch in the North Gym, the Champion's League's best team of indoor soccer players took on the staff at Danforth. It was a hard fought game with alot of a great goaltending and fierce competition. After the time limit, the score was tied up 0-0, and referee Mcleod brought it to the shootout. The students were able to edge the teachers with their final shot, winning the students vs staff indoor soccer game! Congrats to all participants and the Phys Ed department for a fun and entertaining lunchtime treat!

We had a tie for the highest grade increase achieved by students coming to our Grade 9 Math Clinic! Congrats to Noamen and Thomas for increasing their mark by two whole grades! They won a Nintendo DSi and a game. Since it was a tie though, the student who gets the highest mark on their next test between the two of them will win a game of their choice!
Math Clinic is now available for anyone who needs help in Math. It currently employs 10 univeristy tutors who serve Grades 9 to 11. Math Clinic runs from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Mondays and Fridays. Students who show up at 3:15pm get free snacks (chips, pop, cookies, etc).
