Welcome to the world of Science at Oakwood. The six members of this department include teachers who are specialists in each of the three major sciences, as well as being very experienced in teaching students in each of the mosaic courses found in the junior school. Our commitment is to provide each and every student with numerous hands-on experiences with materials suitable to their level and their discipline. These activities are followed by post-laboratory discussions to ensure that each of these experiences is meaningful and helpful to their understanding of the theories under study.
Of course, our emphasis in all of our programs is the preparation of our students for post-secondary studies at the university and college levels.
