Bessborough is located in Leaside
area of Toronto, a well-established community of mostly single-unit
homes. It was the first public school in Leaside and was also the Town
Hall. Bessborough celebrated its 75th birthday recently.
Bessborough is a dynamic
neighbourhood school with many active and involved parents who
participate in the daily lives of their children. It also serves as a
community center for various local groups and agencies. |

Neighbouring Rolph Road and Bennington Heights Public School
students join Bessborough in grades 7 and 8 and are then able to take advantage
of our specialty classrooms for subjects such as visual arts, computers,
creative arts and science and technology.
Bessborough has established itself as a friendly, local school
with a tradition of academic excellence. Many former students are now parents
and grandparents of children attending the school. |
