What's New At Beverley School?
OUR SCHOOL IS AMAZING!
We have been in the news recently. There was a story on CBS 60 Minutes that featured the work we are doing with touch technology, as well as a story on CBC The National.

We are currently in the midst of a joint study between the TDSB and the University of Toronto with Dr. Rhonda McEwen of the Faculty of Information. We are constantly amazed by our students and what they are able to do. We can't wait to share the results of our study. See us featured in the Globe and Mail.
Our new playground is finally completed! Students, staff, and parents worked so hard to get this project done. We are thrilled with our accessible playground.
We have completed the first phase of our Snoezelen Pool. It creates a soothing theraputic environment for our students to relax and swim in. Once a month the pool is converted, the lights are turn low and the Snoezelen magic is turned on. There are floating lights, fountains, underwater speakers, and beautiful images that are projected over the floor.
We commissioned a stunning mural that wraps around 2 walls of the pool. It is 20 feet high 60 feet long. It is an incredibly rich tapestry of rainforest plants and animals. You have to see it believe it!!
We had a major renovation in our open area, bringing the outside in. There is a bridge, hanging plants, soaring kites, an arbour, and gorgeous planter boxes filled with lush green plants. 'Green Force' is aired on HGTV. Visit their website to see when it will be on next. The space looks amazing and we are very proud of it.
We have many projects on the go as we build a strong school community inside and out. For example, an Aquarium has been custom designed for our Atrium. It has waterfalls, schools of fish, and many varieties of plant life to engage the children's senses.
Our school is the proud host of a Snoezelen room, specially designed for the needs of our students.
Every Friday afternoon our whole school gathers together for something we call Friday Music.
