Your involvement in your child’s education is important. In addition to attending formal parent-teacher interviews, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or vice principal with any concerns at any time. Contact information can be found in the Staff Section.
Report Cards / Parent-Teacher Interviews
Interviews are held at the school twice a year. This year's dates are:
• Thursday, October 16, 2008
• Wednesday, March 26, 2009
Interviews are held from 2:30 to 4:00 and 5:30 to 8:00. Students should arrange interview times with their teachers in the few days before the interviews.
Report Cards will be distributed to students prior to Parent-Teacher interviews. Semester 1 Final Report Cards will be distributed in February. Semester 2 Final Report Cards can be picked up in early July.
School Council
Birchmount Park parents are invited to participate in our monthly School Council Meetings. The meetings take place September 29, 2008, October 27, 2008, November 24, 2008, January 28, 2009, February 25, 2009 and April 29, 2009.

Message from the School Council
The Birchmount Park School Council provides a vital link between home and school. By attending our monthly meetings, parental voices are heard on all issues that affect our children's education - from curriculum to student concerns. We advocate for our students and staff through contact with TDSB administration and trustees, and participation in our Ward-wide Council. This gives the parents of BPCI a strong voice, not only in the school, but in the TDSB community.
You may support your Council by attending meetings, supporting any fundraising event at the school, and joining our growing email list. Council meetings take place the last Monday of every month, in the Library. Your active participation in the Birchmount Park family is important to your child, their teachers, and our parents.
