About

Bloor Collegiate Institute, established in 1925, has a long tradition of excellence. In 2009 88% of our graduates were accepted at post secondary institutions. While small enough to be comfortable, Bloor Collegiate Institute offers a range of academic, music, business and art programs including enrichment in the maths and sciences. We are home to a diverse cultural community that speaks more than 21 languages and celebrates every culture. We have more than 20 school teams and clubs. Students love our championship volleyball and basketball teams. The boys’ volleyball team made it to the regional and provincial finals in both 2008 and 2009. Other teams include badminton, baseball, floor hockey, softball, tennis, cricket, track & field and soccer. Our students also enjoy many school trips to events and locations throughout Ontario. The annual camping trip is very popular.

Fees

The Student Activity Council collects a $40.00 Activity Fee from students each year. This fee includes a yearbook, an agenda, an ID card and supports our teams and clubs.

In addition to this fee, students in Physical and Health Education wear a uniform. Its cost is $35.00.

Bloor’s practice is to welcome all students regardless of financial status. Contact the principle if these fees pose a hardship.
