   Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute, one of the largest facilities in the Toronto District School Board, offers strong academic courses, unique and specialized programs, and an exceptional range of co-curricular activities. In meeting the needs of a diverse, multicultural community, we strive to foster mutual respect, to encourage participation, and to develop life skills.

   Cedarbrae has a 40-year tradition of excellence in core subject areas, including Mathematics, English, science, languages, and social sciences. There is a complete range of business, and computer courses. The school also offers communications, transportation and construction Tech. Innovative programs are taught in well-designed, well-equipped facilities. Cedarbrae is a visual arts centre with a specialized commercial and fine- arts program, including illustration, information design, drawing and painting, desktop publishing, and life drawing. Students wishing to enter Cedarbrae's Special Art Program must complete an admission test, provide a letter of recommendation from an art teacher, and submit a copy of their transcript. Our school enjoys a fine reputation for dramatic and musical presentations at the school and at the Sears and Kiwanis festivals. Dramatic arts, drama technology, instrumental music, vocal music, and music theatre are also available. We are developing a Technical Theatre Program for students who are interested in careers in theatre and film working behind the scenes. The school also has a large extended French and French Immersion program. A wide selection of courses and co-curricular activities are offered in French. Co-op education is available in almost every subject in the school. There are many co-curricular activities for our students: yearbook, math team, debating, student government, fashion show, peer tutoring. There is a wide range of sports, and the Colts have won many individual and team championships. Cedarbrae is an active, creative, and caring environment promoting the development of a resourceful, adaptable, and motivated student population.
