Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades

Are you intested in apprenticing in one of Ontario's skilled trades? Look at the list of Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Programs (OYAP) that are offered right here at CTS:

College

Colleges offer an enormous number of programs that lead to certificates, diplomas, and degrees.

  • OntarioColleges.ca - Truly "one-stop-shopping". On this site you can research all of the difference Ontarian Colleges and, when you're ready, apply online.
  • SchoolFinder.com - Information about Canadian colleges and universities. You can filter searches to show only Ontario information.

Congratulations - you've been offered a spot in a college program. Have you thought about how you're going to pay for college?

  • Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) - Do you want an interest-free loan while you're studying full-time at college? Visit the OSAP site for all of the details.
  • Be sure to visit the Financial Aid office of the college where you'll be attending so you can learn about even more scholarship opportunities.

University

Here are a few websites that will help you gather information about the different university programs available in Ontario:

  • eInfo - a guide to Ontario's universities
  • SchoolFinder.com - Information about Canadian universities and colleges. You can filter searches to show only Ontario information.
  • Maclean's Magazine - a link to their annual rating of Canadian universities.
