"Why Flemington School?"

EXCITING... DYNAMIC... PROFESSIONAL...

This describes both the nature of our program and the character of our environment. There's always something going on at Flemington - a multicultural celebration, English composition contests, a guided tour of the Art Gallery of Ontario, or an afternoon at the Metro Zoo. Our approach to teaching English is fresh and exciting as our state-of-the-art methods are complimented by ongoing extra-curricular activities. Students steadily acquire and develop confidence in their skills as we believe that learning is best promoted in an atmosphere where caring and commitment come first. This is the real strength of our program. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring that each student's needs are met and that a high level of achievement is reached. The aim is to do so within a reasonable period of time.

Each student is part of our family, and our family is important to us.

From Lawrence West Subway Station, take bus #109B Northbound or walk ten minutes.

"How do I register?"

You must come to Flemington School to register - no appointment is necessary. You may telephone (416)395-4980 for additional information on available courses.

"How do you know what level is right for me?"

When you come in, you will be given a short, written test. This will allow us to determine your ability in basic grammar and writing. This will be followed by a 5 to 10 minute interview to determine your speaking ability in English. After this, you will be assigned to a specific level. (Students progress through the levels at their own pace).

"When can I register?"

You may register on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,
on Thursday or Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

"How Much It Costs?"

Flemington Adult Learning Centre is financed by The Toronto District School Board. Students pay only registration fees: 20$ per semester per person (full time) or 10$ per semester per person (part time).
