DAYCARE > Programme Philosophy
Sunnyside Garden Daycare is committed to providing opportunities that support each child’s development in a culturally and ethnically diverse community. We promote attitudes of fairness, respect and acceptance within an inclusive atmosphere of diversity.
The daycare operates in partnership with the children, parents, programme and school staff to support early learning experiences for children. Programme goals focus on fostering children’s self-esteem, independence, individuality, creativity and prosocial behaviours.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the operation of the Centre through: election to the volunteer Board of Directors; active involvement in policty and decision making process; programme participation; fundraising ventures; attendance at the Annual General Members meeting; and regular on-going communication with the programme staff.
