HODGSON SENIOR PUBLIC SCHOOL

  • Serves approximately 337 Grade 7 and 8 Students
  • Offers English Programming and Extended French (open to students who are currently in the Extended French Program at Eglinton Public School)

ACADEMICS

  • All students have core for half the day (language/social studies/math)
  • All students go on rotary for half the day.  Specialists teachers teach science, physical education, art, drama, music and design & technology
  • Most Grade 8 students have a specialist math teacher
  • Hodgson offers unique music programs including band and strings
  • Teachers work to support students with unique learning profiles in their classes as well as in small group settings
  • Teachers are very accessible.  Each teacher maintains a website where they post assignments and other important information

  • Hodgson has a library with computer lab
  • Hodgson has a lunch room
  • Hodgson has a large playing field and backs onto a City of Toronto Skating Rink/Tennis Court
  • Hodgson has a science lab and technology room
  • Hodgson has a dedicated art room and a dedicated music room
  • Hodgson has just undergone main floor painting
  • Hodgson is undergoing major renovation which will be completed by September 2012.  Included in the renovations is the creation of 7 classrooms and the creation of a new science lab.
