2011 - 2012 Student Council
The Humberwood Downs Student Council was elected in November and its members had to pass a rigorous process to become their elected class representative. Candidates had to receive recommendations from teachers and make a speech in front of their peers.
This year’s Student Council is excellent and has many plans for making Humberwood an even better place to be than it already is. They have provided leadership for the Pumpkin Carving Contest, Food Drive at the Holiday Season, soap refills for classes every other Friday, student announcements, and mentoring younger students.
Staff Leadership for this responsible group of students is provided by Mme. Nunes, Mrs. Virdee and Mr. Jackoo.
