These interviews are held after the midterm reports have been mailed home. The main topic is student progress and students are encouraged to participate. Appointments may be booked by phoning the school office.
Twice each semester, the school holds evaluation / exam weeks. No classes are held during final evaluation days, but midterms are scheduled during regular classes. Students who miss an exam or Outreach presentation will receive a mark of zero. Exams missed due to illness will require a medical certificate submitted to the principal who handles all matters of absence during Evaluation Weeks.
After Labour Day each year, and at the beginning of second semester, Inglenook provides Orientation activities. These include information meetings, timetabling, course counselling, school spirit activities, and classes.
Coffee houses are special evening events at which students, teachers, parents, and friends join to sing, jam, read poetry and otherwise perform in a congenial atmosphere. There are usually one or two coffee houses every semester, and a final one in June.
Each year the school hosts a conference on a current issue, gathering speakers and experts from the community at large. The Conference Day is one for sharing, learning, and reflecting. Attendance is mandatory.
In the fall, Inglenook holds a special celebration for graduating students. Parents, friends, and all members of the Inglenook community are welcome to this informal ceremony.
