Belief Statement

 At John G. we strive to establish and maintain an atmosphere which allows students to feel safe, learn to the best of their ability, and feel respected and valued. If we co-operate and respet on another, John G. will then be a most wonderful experience for all. Please refer to the John G. Alhouse code of conduct to guide you in making good decisions.

Discipline Process:

Each incident of improper behavior will be treated on its own merit in a fair but firm manner.

 

Procedures often used are:
  • Teacher/pupil conference
  • detention after school or during lunch
  • apology - written or verbal
  • phone call home
  • student contract
  • removal of privileges
  • restitution - student must pay for or repair
  • principal/vice-principal involvement
  • damages or clean up property with full investigation
  • voluntary withdrawal from school
  • suspension from school
