The White Pine Book Club:

This year the White Pine book club is run by two students, Hiren and Joanna while supported by Ms. Nieuwolt. The group meets occasionally on Wednesdays after school in the library.

The members of the club read a minimum of five books and then vote for their favourite. Clubs all over Ontario do this and the winner is announced at the White Pine Festival at the Harborfront in Toronto.

Our Staff:

Simone Nieuwolt

Ken Kosowan

Our full time librarians are dedicated to make the learning commons a safe and comfortable place for all learners. Simone is a veteran teacher of English and has a passion for Art and believes Papier Mache is a valid art form. Ken has taught History and English and knows more about baseball both real and virtual than most people. Both teachers are committed to teaching 21st century skills to all learners who enjoy the library.
